The release schedule for 7.2 had been released and made publically. On the 4th of may (planned) the 7.2 release will see the light. The 7.2 release will not be very different then 7.1, but ofcourse there is much more QA infrastructure in place, critical fixes and improvements had been backported from the 7-STABLE branch and things like that.

Many DRM fixes had been imported by Robert Noland, various network cards had been updated by Pyun Yongari, John Baldwin did a major task of cleaning up locking and improving UDF, Marius Strobl updated many sparc64 items, Andriy Gapon also updated and improved UDF a lot, and many many other fixes.

I ofcourse invite YOU to test 7-STABLE since that will be the future branchpoint for the 7.2 release and report any regressions that are still there. Currently we are in a slowed-down state so developers are encouraged to fix regressions. Do not hesitate to report them to us so that it can be fixed. I know that there are several MFC’s pending, amongst them possibly things from myself. I hope to be able to look into the list at some point before the BETA’s so that I can try to get them in.

What should really get into 7.2 (given the 7-STABLE codebase, we cannot look at 8-current features ofcourse, since that might break the system)?

So I am now living together for somewhat more then one month. Quite a lot of things happened in that single month, at work, but also at home. We builded up the entire environment, even brought in some new flowers etc for the garden. And ofcourse there are still more things to do. Slowly but surely we are getting there and getting a good grip on how to handle our house. That’s rather difficult to start, because it’s such a big house but well it works .

This week our whiteboard comes which we can use to properly handle our todo items most important things are transfered to our house so great work .

Beyond that I also shot a little video from our house (actually Denise did that) which I placed online. If you are interested give me a poke so that I can sneak out the URL to you . This weekend the clock goes forward one hour, which is interesting, but we’ll see how those things go haha

After living together for three weeks now, we did most of the housekeeping tasks at least once. Today we decided to first work together with the laundry (which we try to do as much as possible because that makes things go as fast as possible) followed by cleaning up of the house by the both of us. I was doing the dustcleaner and mopped the floor, while denise enjoyed herself in the bathing room etc. Now after doing a lot already we are almost done for the weekend. We need to change the laundry and make sure it can be “parsed” later on, but those are minor remaining things. We still need to visit some shops today to buy the remaining items that we need and get a name plate and things like that . We also are going to look for an additional fish because after Luca’s birthday, Denise’s birthday is also upcoming

As one can see I uploaded a new theme for my Wordpress blog. I like to change the theme every now and then so that the visual aspects keep changing for my visitors. So I tried ‘iBlog’ now, which looks very great as I can tell
