A bit late but my little boy Luca
and my nephew Thomas stayed over last weekend. My aunt wanted to go out and we agreed that Thomas could stay over. Luca could also spend the night here (Thanks Denise! We had a great time!) so the two, equally aged kids could play together and learn eachother social behaviour. Luca was here already friday in the morning and we enjoyed our time doing nice little things, just doing as relaxed as possible and went to the city to buy some shirts and then headed back to greet Thomas. When the two kids saw eachother the first thing they did was hug
and that was so lovely to see.
Soon they started playing and enjoyed themselves, and I watched everything from closeby, but mostly tried letting them play together. When it was time for dinner, they had some sort of match between eachother who could eat best, they both enjoyed a large plate of food and silently ate a little cup of (Vla, what was that in English) with cream (Slagroom); they did not really notice it since I put on Bassie and Adriaan on the Television and my Mother and I helped the two little kids eating the Vla. Just half an hour after that they were so tired that I brought them to bed (I forget to mention that between their dinner and the Vla we had taken them to the shower and let them shower together, which was really great for them hehe :D), and I read a little bedtime story, Thomas was long gone before I ended the story and Luca was underway shortly after it :-). The next day Thomas was awake first (My mom and I were already awake at 0630 to be sure that we could pick them up before the one woke up the other one), and Luca half an hour after that or something and they both enjoyed 2 slices of bread (wauw, they really did everything together). Not long after that Rik called that he became uncle (Congrats Rik, his sister (The new mother) her boyfriend Patrick and the newly grandparents Hans and Annette)); and he was here at 10.45 or so. We went to the Cinema with the little boys to Curious Monkey which was really really great! They enjoyed it much and we did as well. They also saw a little of Feyenoord on the soccerfield which they also liked :-).
We went to play a little and then returned home, they did not stop talking about the movie (yeah it was a great day so far). After a little we went eating again and they both had a lot of food AGAIN ;-). Soon after that we needed to bring both boys home and so we did, they both fell asleep in the car and that was so lovely to see.
So… all with all it was a tiresome weekend but really really great, I needed to pay less energy to the kids since they entertained eachother, but on the otherhand I still watched them so that they could do what they wanted but all within their limits ofcourse.

OK, I did not write much in the FreeBSD section lately and might not have been very visual in the scene as well. Though I did not sit still at all! I helped out a few people generating proper VuXML entries; I am doing some internal projects (Proof of Concepts) with some Version Control System(s), not only for FreeBSD but also for my own knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages, also merging the current GNATS database to Bugzilla and perhaps Trac (if that works out) to see various Problem Reporting engines at work that are not as ancient as GNATS (GNATS currently show’s its age in the FreeBSD tree imo).
Why am I doing all this? Well I have been hunting a ‘few’ i386 PR’s in the last period of time (bugmagnet ;)) and noticed we should change something and had some initial talks with Mark Linimon about this (I believe we are on one line wrt how to handle PR’s etc), and If things permit we can continue to do a little discussion at EuroBSDCon (With Ceri Davis, Mark and myself) to see how we can hunt down the huge backlog and how we might proceed with the current tools. Shaun and Alex are both working on some nice frontend web/cli tools that can aid us in our current system.
I also did a couple of VuXML entries again; and should do some more, I should merge the latest two advisories that the Security Team created (I worked on one of the two advisories and that was really cool to do, as well as the contacts with other people and so on).
I will continue to do this work for a little of time (slowing down on doc and www for a little just to see how I can handle everything the best as possible, I don’t want to stop working on them, just need to see the best way to handle it).
But most of my work will continue after my holiday which starts sunday! till oct 1st

Yay, the weather was nice again so I was able to bike a little again :-). I am doing so the last couple of days (this is the second week now) and it gives me a good feeling to do some proper sporting every once in a while. I am trying to do it every other day, so one day of rest for my legs and one day of activity. I dont think that biking everyday will actually succeed, I am not always willing to bike and when I get back to work again at Snow I pressume that I will not have time everyday, and now the autumn is incoming (and after that the winter) it is not very great to bike then
But I plan to continue even in those seasons (which is virtually impossible with skating since you do not want your skates and the equipment to get wet).
So, I hope it will remain this weather for a little longer, today was a hot day (which I happen to like) but the previous days were also fine to bike, as long as the rain is not there :). Oh well lets write a FreeBSD Blog entry as well, you can find it in the Weblog section -> FreeBSD.
