So in a short period of time i will be at www.ahoy.nl at the www.bryanadams.com concert :-).

I agreed with Annelies to meet there and head to our places. Sadly we were a bit too late to get "Arena" tickets so we have first ring tickets now. I am really looking forward again in seeing Bryan Adams in concert again. A few years back i was at another concert of him and that was one hell of an night :-).

I warmed up a little bit already by watching one of his DVD’s i have from "Live at slane castle 2001" and the feeling was overwelming

I was searching the internet today to mambo related sites to see what options i could implement on the mambo page’s i host. I came accross the website of a dutch politician and saw that he used introduction tekst in just a single column instead of having two columns.  When i saw that it seemed to me that that was actually pretty neat.

So we moved our evilcoder.org pages to a single column design as well. I also added some more RSS feeds on the RSSFeeds link.

In the meanwhile we are still coding on our DNS perl application , which should make it easier to give slave servers access to required resources (automagically instead of manually) and we are hacking into Evilcoder-Admin quite often so the promised release of a initial version will be pretty soon. Though i am kinda having troubles with a <div> styled design since not everything align’s the way i want to and i was used to have when using <table> based designs :-).

And i am writing some documents for DSINet at the moment, and i might even publish some on evilcoder as well….

As you might see the RSS feeds are back up and running. We considered several options to make it more easy to add and run rssfeeds from others on this host. It required some scripting but it seems to work again :-).

So today i was reading nu.nl’s news headlines and i read the article about dutch lotery’s fetching extra money automatically from their members. Why? Our queen has her 25th anniversary as monarch of our country.

Lotery’s and others now draw money from people to give her a present. The lotery’s even think that they are doing the right thing. The minister (Donner) also gave permission to automatically fetch money from the members of the lotery’s. The requirements in his opinion stated that lotery’s should inform their members asap and give them a option to disagree with it and opt-out.

Only minister donner seemed to missed something, he was advised to make a opt-in procedure instead of a opt-out procedure. If people are unaware now they will be drawn => 5euro’s from their account extra, and it gives other lotery’s and such the possibility to do more of this stuff later. (so if you are in dept, you might want to look at your accounting details).

Now i do not have anything against our queen nor her family, but she has millions on her account(s) and we the "poor" normal people need to buy her a present? It’s good for her that she is our monarch for 25 years now, but with the current situation in our country this is inappropriate. We can better spend the money in helping the sick, helping the elderly and get back our prepensioen and vut (dutch words).

Beatrix; happy anniversary, but you will -not- get any money from me.

As you can see on the left panel i added an RSS feed of DSINet. Why did i do that? Well it became available today. This was after releasing the new DSINet site. So … check it out!  :-). www.dsinet.org is completely restyled and looks very smooth. I have got many positive feedback on the design. So the designer and developer earn a big: "Thank you". They are Fred Duzink (design) and Maurice Smit (development).
Now it is time for the rest of the crew to focus on updating security news and keeping DSINet a great news resource.

Recently i was challenged to build a master-slave application for bind. This application should be able to automate the retrieval of new slave domains. This would save administrators a hell lot of time keeping their slaves up to date all the time.

So i decided to implement it’s features also in Evilcoder-Admin. Currently i am doubting whether it should be a slave pull model or a master push model. (No fysical connection to the machine itself will be made… so both models are systems ’safe’).

The current skeleton is growing and growing but i need to decide what focus to use.

Apart from that Evilcoder-Admin had been updated from RELEASE_0_22 to RELEASE_0_26 which is branched and will be updated on our administration pages asap.
The changes are quite impressive (well i am the designer and programmer so i might have a judgement that others might not have ;)).

The style is now almost fully based upon CSS structures. The old design was revamped into <DIV> parts instead of <TABLE>’s. This not only makes it easier to style, the end result became better then the previous release was. So after correcting the style i can now focus on continueing the programming of the functions.

When all the functions seem to work (Email based administration) i will release a RELEASE_1_0 version, which marks the beginning of "Email Administration". After that coding will begin to implement RELEASE_2_0 which will have DNS Administration as well.

Today i recieved the final half of my Queen collection. This is a great day for me since i doubted for ages whether i should finish my collection or not. And so it happened, today i got my final cd’s that make the collection complete.
I now have all of the CD’s ever brought out by the legendary band Queen.

So after Guns N Roses was made complete, now Queen is also complete :-).

Today, my beloved son Luca became 2 years old. Although i did not see him for over half a year now, i still love him very much (I am not allowed to see him). I hope that you will have a great day! You surely have grown and i am convinced that you are able to speak a bit more and walk a bit better :-). I am also sure that you will be blowing out 2 candles today on your cake, and toy a bit with the cake. I hope your day is great Luca.
