Today was another great day. I took the day off to go with Marigna and Marjenne to steady. A teen mother organisation specialised in helping teen mothers (doh).

So i got up early and headed towards Marigna’s house. After i arrived we went to the city of Rotterdam and found ourselves almost an hour to early on the location so we walked around a bit. We saw the people looking "A nice a boy and a girl with their little kid"…. if they only know :-).

After we went to Steady we drove to Brielle (near Marigna’s house) were we ate some bread and i drove around with Marjenne a bit so she kept sleeping while Marigna visited her old collegues.
Next was a sudden stop at the sister of Marigna’s house. We went there because her sister has a cute little baby of 3 weeks old. It was a great stop and lovely to see the little kid. Another surprise struck, the other sister of Marigna also stopped by with her daugher Yara, so a crowded house ;).

Not long after that we left and i brought Marigna and Marjenne home and headed towards my own house myself. I have to say that i enjoyed today and that i am looking forward to the next adventure we are going to make :-)

As i already mentioned a couple of times on The Log i am currently writing a administration toolkit for my services. This is written in perl, a language that i am not too familiar with yet.
Although i have to say, the last few weeks of development delivered a lot of knowledge and functionality.

The product is currently at level 0.9alpha and 0.10 alpha is underway.
The product can currently change user passwords, show information for different kids of users.
It uses session based authentication. You will login at the page, get a cookie with the session id which enables you to do administration.

I am actually very proud on the product, so i hope to have a good and working version soon.
My email users are asked to test the tool and notify me from inconsistency’s. Whenever release 1.0 is reached (beta perhaps) i will publish it only and await any comments people might have.

Especially for efficiency it’s good that someone with bigger knowledge reviews the application, and teach me where i did go wrong or where i can use other forms of the language to gain speed, accuracy and perhaps even less code used to do the same.

I will keep you posted.

Last Friday i was at the concert of Vrienden van Amtel Live. Rik (my best friend) gave that to me as a birthday present.
It was great to be there, all kinds of music passed by and all with all we had a great day.

We saw : De dijk, Frank Boeien, Xander (volumia), Ilse de Lange, Krezip and some others.
If you plan on going to a concert with many different performers, you should go to "Vrienden van Amstel". It is well worth the price and you will always have a great day.

So the upcoming concert will be "Mark Knopfler" in Ahoy Rotterdam, as my birthday present for Rik.

What happened the last days? Well a lot!

First of all Batman climbed the courthouse of Utrecht. He did that go get attention for fathers that are not able to see their kids. Mostly because of the mother who is not willing to coorporate. Batman is a member of Fathers 4 Justice which tries to get equal rights for fathers.
Later that day he was on the TV at B&W. I recognized his name "andy" and realised that i had contact with him before. I followd the program very carefully and noticed that the people that were invited (besides the 2 fathers) were more against fathers then pro father.

After that a thread was opened on the "debatplaats" where i also posted some messages. You can find the link on Tienervaders.org. I discussed a bit with Medea, but most of that seem to be removed by the administrator later on.

Next was a interview on "FunX.FM" about teenfathers. Great thing to do and really cool that they took the time and promoted the site a bit :-).

That was not all! I also phoned with Andy (The batman mentioned earlier) and we discussed things about (teen)fathers for over an hour. It was really great to talk with him and to recognise issues he raised.

And the story continues. Last monday (24th) there was a cinema starring multiple documentries and such. One of them was "TeenFathers". One that i helped out with. My story started and it was really neat to see what the end results were. The 2 creators (Rosalie and Bart) did a really great job in organising it all. Perhaps i will be able to post the movie online so others can see it as well.

So i have been really busy with "(Teen)Fathers" the last few days. I also worked on Evilcoder-Admin some more and the application is now really starting to work. The codebase is a mess, but the working code is just great. I am a perl newb and the things implemented are really cool. When the first release is ready you will be able to see more of it.

I will continue to have a busy schedule so perhaps there aren’t that much updates. But the updates that do appear are much bigger like this one.

Oh yes, i upgraded the webserver today to the latest patchlevel and tried solving a error with one of the interfaces of the webserver. I need to retry that later since hardware seems failing. But no worries that is not affecting anyone (yet :-)).

Yesterday, on sunday, i went to the beach with Marigna. She is a teen mother and has a little kid  Marjenne who is one year old. We decided to go to the beach yesterday. I drove through Spijkenisse to perhaps be able to see a glimpse of my little kid Luca. Sadly, i couldn’t spot him. After a short trip i arrived in the town where Marigna lives with Marjenne.

I talked a bit with the mother of Marigna and after that we drove towards the beach at Rockanje were we wanted to walk over the beach. Walking over the sand with a little kid is rather difficult especially if the buggy does not coorporate. So we decided to walk towards the windmills, which made a rather neath sound. We were very impressed :-). I also enjoyed Marjenne a lot. She was singing in the car which made me feel happy :-)

When we drove home again Marjenne was singing again and again that made me feel happy. It was lovely to drive a little kid around especially when she was feeling comfortable. When we arrived at Marigna’s place again Marjenne and i walked hand in hand towards the house. This was way cool since we could see Marjenne enjoyed it. Especially when grandma opened the door and Marjenne was able to walk to grandma herself :-).

I did really enjoy the day with Marigna and Marjenne and hope that we will be able to do stuff like that again soon :)
