And all the hard work of me and my team is going to pay off. The FreeBSD Documentation team (Josef El-Rayes) helped me import the documentation in the official FreeBSD CVS tree. This means that all reviewed documents (by me and my team) are being inserted in the FreeBSD CVS tree after they are checked by Josef. If you would like to see more chapters available, please send me a mail and help the Dutch team!
Also i want to thank my team for helping me this much and doing a great job on the documentation. Keep up the good work friends!

Ofcourse we can’t miss this item. Recently our Dutch national singer Andre Hazes died. This is a real shame for the Dutch people. He was one of the best Dutch singers, and created some very good songs which do it very well in the pub.
Yesterday i watched his fans saying goodbye in the "Amsterdam Arena" which was crowded by a hell lof ot people. The television program around is was very nice. I am a bit proud on Andre’s son Dreetje, since he managed to say some words where others were too sad for it. There was also some nice music, rememberance of Andre but also Blof, Xander from Volumia, Rene Froger and many others.
Now it is time to say ‘De vlieger is nu voor hem zelf’.
Some of his hits "Een beetje verliefd", "Kleine Jongen", "De vlieger", "Droomland", "Bloed, Zweet en Tranen", "Nederland, o Nederland jij bent een kampioen" and many many others. May he rest in peace.

As promised a little topic about why i don’t use google-ads for a undetermined time.As we all might know or not know, google collects data from the internet and makes it available through search engines. If you use that search engine you will have a cooky placed that will not expire the rest of your computers live. Inside is a unique id and a verification code. Also there are 2 dates mentioned, the first time you got the cookie, and the last time you used the cookie. With this way google can trace each and everyone of you using that search engine.Besides that google also utilizes a google-bar, which is basically worse since it updates by itself without any notice and it sends any data you type in it to it’s mother (google). Now the most parts of that happen on all of the internet, everything gets logged, is being seen by the administrators (if they are good ;)) so that’s not new. What makes this different from others? Well i can’t actually tell, more companies do the same. What do they do then? Well they obtain the data as mentioned, but they don’t have a privacy policy, so your data might be selled to others which might send you advertisements or something similiar. And that is not that bad per se, it’s bad that they never tell you what they do with your data. The part on which i decided not to use google-ads anymore is the previous point. Google should tell you what they do with your data. And if they keep it forever, well that might be okay, as long as i know that that happends so i can decide whether i want to use the software or not. This is not a basic thingy like ‘ oh they collect my data ‘ no it’s more about what the hell do they do with my data.Perhaps you think the same as i, well thank you then. If you don’t agree, perhaps you can expand your story by using the contact form, i might even consider placeing every reaction online (if you say ok :-)). Continue reading »

Today after reading www.google-watch.org i decided to disable the google ads feature. I also recommend that you read the issues raised there. Google appears to be not reliable at all. Searching the web enables google to keep track on your search terms etc. This potentially gives the google team the possibility to sell your information to others, which might be fooled into spam you in your mailbox, screen itself, your homemailbox (the real version) etc.Please consider reading the documents listed there! I will write up a little document later today in which i expandin why i think like this, why i dont like it, and why you perhaps dont like it as well. Note that i am not against data capturing, i am against unclear registration of the handling of your data. Continue reading »

Yesterday i was in Utrecht. I was there with a nice lady called Annemarie. Since i recently bought her a gift, she wanted to offer me something in return. That something was going to be something really valuable for me. I am a rock fan, i like kick ass guitars (see the Satriani post), but i like the band called Queen the most if it comes to music. Queen is the bringer of good music to this world. What did Annemarie gave me? She gave me a Queen’s musicbook, including bass guitar tabs, piano tabs ( i have a keyboard at home ) and guitar tabs. Now i am not that far that i can actually read and understand them, but i will try my very best to learn that as soon as possible so i can play those kick ass Queen songs.Ofcourse i thanked Annemarie but from this place i would like to thank her again!! Thanks Annemarie, it’s really a great gift which i shall keep with me and learn to play from it

After having one DVD from Joe Satriani already, i recieved my second item from this master guitarist today. From work we had an offer for a CD, and i saw the Satriani CD listed there. So ofcourse my heart as a rock fan, including kicking guitar solo’s ;-), spook and told me that this was something which needed to be in my collection. So what did i do? I bought the CD. It is called: Is there love in space? I dont know the answer to that, but with this music you can send me everywhere, even to space and i won’t get bored. Music like this inspires me to continue working on the guitar stuff i am trying to figure out and play :-).Just a reminder to rock fans, and then especially space guitar fans… This albums i great! It should be in your collection as well! Continue reading »

After not seeing Thomas now for eh nearly a week..
i decided to go with my parents (which were babysitting tonight on him and his brother and sister). So i played a little with him, gave him some dinner, played some more. After doing all that i asked if i was allowed to put him in the path, that was allowed so i did. He had such great fun, me outside the tub, and him inside the tub playing around, giving me toys and using those nice toys that stick on the tub (never seen that before
) which he really enjoyed. After that i took a towel and dried him up and put on his pyama.He needed to have a little more food (Yogurt) and not too long after that i put him in his bed. He was crying a bit when i left the room, but when i went home again ~10 minutes later his was already quiet a sleep. It’s really great to see such a little boy evolve so much, last week he didn’t want to walk yet, now he walked a little, and since his father celebrates his birthday next week, i will see him again, and perhaps we can walk a little more ;). Well, today i was driving in my car towards home listening to the radio (CityFM) and i heared a question. If you answered that correctly you could win a t-shirt and perhaps a trip to London. It was a question about Guns N Roses. Well i have all albums so i figured i stand a chance here.
{mosimage}
There were three songs of Guns N Roses and you had to choose whatever album the songs where coming from. It was Paradise city, Sweet Child o Mine and Welcome to the Jungle. Ofcourse that was from the Album Appetite for Destruction. I mailed it to Melvin Vermeer who hosted the CityFM show. I got called back instantly, he told me if i could remember my answer, and before i knew i was in the show talking to Melvin about the answer. I find it very interesting music, and he made the joke that he listened to it while drinking coffee as well (sometime’s it’s a noise). I answered the question and it seemed to be alright
so i won a original CityFM shirt. I also had to wait half an hour because i might had won a trip to London.
Sadly enough someone else was called (Sorry Unnie, perhaps next time ;)) so he is going to enjoy a trip to London. I hope he has a good time there :-).
Now i need to wait for my t-shirt, but if i have him, i wil certainly post a picture of it on the site!
