Well, here i am on holiday, just found an internet cafe, to update you all a bit…It
And finally my vacation had arrived. I will be out of the country. Perhaps i will do an update from the location i will be at.
So for the next period there won’t be many updates :-). I will post it when i am back, in the meanwhile hang tight
Well, another journey today. After fixing up FreeBSD-Doc-NL yesterday (i think the reviewed documents are ready for import now, so they are being reviewed by FreeBSD itself :-)).
Today i agreed with my friends of DSInet.org (where i am a reporter for news articles etc) to place a new server in Telecity2 Amsterdam. So i picked up my friend Casper at 12.30 at his place (near Utrecht) and we drove towards Amsterdam, we opened up the window and enjoyed the ride, which took about 35 minutes to get near Amsterdam. Sad part that we didn’t follow the routing instructions so we drove around for abit and found numberous building’s of my boss. After driving around a little we found an old office off my boss. Casper recognized it and we drove past it since Telecity 2 is behind that building.
We signed in at Telecity2 and walked to our computerroom, there we placed a new server for DSINet.org which should replace our old server in the near future. After we did that we drove home again, i dropped Casper back at his home and i went on to Rotterdam again.
When i arrived there my best buddy Rik was there so we chatted up a little and went to the chinese buying us some food. Rik is going with my on holiday so we chatted a bit about that and Rik continued going home.
All with all a ‘long’ day , but it was great meeting Casper today, and placing the server in Telecity2, since i never was there before :-).
Oh and one more thing, it was quite hot today, we noticed that on our way towards the facility, and on our way back when we got struck by warmth (since inside the facility it was cold
). It’s still nearly 30 degrees here, but we are making progress in lowering that temperature to human respected temperatures ;-).
So much for today!
Today i was in Arnhem for my work. I took my car and drove there, which is quite a journey. But the surrounding is beautiful, rather quiet and peacefully :-). We worked on some machine’s, and ofcourse some things did not work so we needed to think a lot. On the way back i drove slower
instead of the 120 that was allowed i drove around 110 to listen to the radio, look at the surrounding and enjoy my new car. It drives really cool :-). Tommorrow i will go to Barendrecht to see my nephews and show my car

A very lot of people asked me about my car, so i included some pictures now here…
It’s a Fiat Punto 1.2ELX black.. 3 doors, radio, automated remote doorunlock thingy and much more
Today i finished up some dutch documents with their style thingy’s so that we have ready documents for the FreeBSD project. Which is awesome because that means that ‘my boys’ and me didn’t do the work for nothing. Ofcourse the translators aren’t the only people that did something, so when announcing the documents and importing the doc-thingy’s which were reviewed by non-translating people i will try and mention their names, since they also did a great job in helping out with the project.
What did i futher do today? I have perforce space setup here. That means you can now see what i am doing in the local - repro that i have here :-). Since no one else can reach it, you will only see my committer name here.
If you like you can help us out.. send me an email :-).
I’ll prompt you when there is some documentation online!
Yesterday i retrieved my very own car from the dealer. After that i went driving for a couple hours, first to an appointment i had, after that i drove to my grandma. And later that day we had an birthdayparty, so i drove my brother and me towards that party. They all liked the car, it’s nice and black
Tomorrow i will first use it to go to work, that will save me almost an hour of traveling each day.. .and i can do a very lot in that time (skating, coding etc).
So be on the lookout for a black car, carrying me inside
