Switched from MailAdministration software. We implemented ISPWorks. Domain owners now can change their stuff, and users can change their email. This took a bit of time since setting every setting as we wished ourself was somewhat long threaded. This is a temporary solution first. Since we are writing our own tool in perl to let users and administrators manage their email accounts.

Yesterday we had an BBQ at my uncle’s place. My nephew Stefan became 6 years old. And he wanted to have a BBQ. Lots of family came, including the girlfriend of my brother, Lauren, so it was a big happening. The men where outside, regulating the BBQ, and bringing the food in, after it was found ok by us. Eventhough it was raining, we had made a tent so that we could be outside, without getitng wet. Stefan, again, congratulations with your 6th birthday. Also, i had to promise Stefan again that we were going to play guitar the next time we meet. (So i learned House of the Rising Sun in advance).

The Logrotate:
We rotate our logs daily, so we needed to write a generic script that provided us with these functions. The script below gives us those options, so it works for us.

The template: We write scripts all the time and we dont feel we have enough time to write the very same time after time after time, so we wrote a template, based on the idea of Rick Rosbag (which learned me almost everything for ksh programming).

We started on a new website a while back. When you can read this, it means that the new website went live.
We figured our old website was quite cool, we did some perl programming and a lot of database related material. The only problem with that was that i could not keep up with the programming and the materials. So we created a new version which is being built-in into Mambo Open Source Software (MOS).

Today we had a drink at my work and a perforrmance by SOMS, the project coverband from my work. It was great fun, Richard and Marc , two of my co workers, well one remains, today was the last workday for Richard (he’s externally hired, and his contract ended) though luck, he is one of my friends so that’s a bummer. But back to the SOMS band. Marc, Richard, Sabine, Aart, Paul, Hessel, Arie played the stars from the heaven. It was absolutly great, i hope to hear again from them all. To Richard, you drummed very well, i am going to see you again in Metropolis! I will miss you on the workfloor Richard, but we will meet up again!

Yesterday my little nephew Thomas was again at my place, his mother asked us if we could look after him for a short period of time. And you know what? I said, i will do it!, it was great again. We toyed, we sang, we walked, he sleeped. I cleaned him and put on his pyjama’s. And i gave him his food, which he seemed to like (can’t imagine, i had a little taste of it, to see whether the temperature was alright, but it tasted like nothing). I made some pictures….

Today my “little” brother had his birthday. He was allowed to drive so he took his first lesson today. It appeared that it went well, his girlfriend drove along so perhaps that had an positive influence ;). Also later today my family came, including my little nephew Thomas, which was awesome again, played with him, and sung with him, just great. But before that, my other little nephew came upstairs. Carry’ing his guitar, he wanted to play guitar with me, if you could just borrow mine. So you know what happened? i swapped my electrical guitar for a nice little toyguitar and we played
It was fun!!, when he got a bit tired of the guitar (he’s only five years old yet) i put on “The Beegees” on DVD, and we sat and watched those images and listened to the Music. Stefan was happily singing along ;). All with all, it was a great day! Perhaps i will include a picture later with Stefan on it, playing my guitar :).
